Todd McKay’s life is not free from the affliction of cancer. In 2010, his sister was diagnosed with thyroid cancer; a year later, Todd was diagnosed with testicular cancer. In 2014 his brother was also diagnosed with testicular cancer. Outside of his family, many of his friends have also had their lives affected by cancer. This is his “why”.
Todd is a long distance runner. What drives him to run? Cancer awareness. Two years ago, Todd and his sister challenged each other to run the Detroit Free Press Marathon, and Todd used the training as an opportunity to raise funds for cancer research.
My friends and family love that I am taking a marathon and turning it into a way to give back to cancer research.
This year, Todd’s goal is to raise $5,000 in support of the U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation, where he is a passionate volunteer and member of the Grants Committee. Help him reach his goal by clicking HERE.
