It is the heart and soul of the U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation to provide vital funds for cancer research.
That being said, there are a few requirements a cancer research grant must meet in order to qualify for funding.
Align with Our Mission:
Our ultimate goal is to find a cure for cancer so that we can all live in a cancer free world. We ask that a detailed explanation of research expectations and long-term goals is provided with the grant proposal.
Michigan Based:
We require that 100% of grant funding is applied directly to cancer research that will be performed in the state of Michigan. A detailed budget with allocated expenses is required during application review.
Partnership:
U CAN-CER VIVE is looking for fellow soldiers who are passionate about the fight against cancer. Our team hopes to create a partnership with labs, doctors, researchers and even patients so that we can support each other in the battle. Updates in the research development and treatment improvements, as well as possible revisions in grant plans, are the results the U CAN-CER VIVE team would like to see. Our goal is to keep our supporters up to date with the news we hear from our medical partners with blog posts, press releases, photos, and more!
*Please note that all grant submissions received will be reviewed within the year. Decisions for grant funding take place in the fourth quarter, where U CAN-CER VIVE Board and Committee Members meet to discuss and make a decision as a nonprofit. Selected grant funding will expect to receive payment in the following calendar year.
